Biocoustics Instruments, Inc. can provide your practice or facility with a complete calibration, preventative maintenance and repair service contract. Many of our customers find this to be a helpful way of maintaining their audiometric equipment.

Scheduled services provided with the contract include one complete ANSI calibration which includes measurement and, if necessary, adjustment to appropriate standards of frequency, distortion, sound pressure level, attenuator linearity and crosstalk, as well as a complete mechanical inspection. ABR units will be stimulus checked. Parameters which are not specifically mentioned above, but which are part of the manufacturers' specifications will also be checked and adjusted as necessary. A certificate of calibration will be mailed to the user after each calibration. Calibration also includes procedures such as check (and replacement as needed) of cords and cushions; cleaning of contacts, connectors and switches; and inspection of overall condition. All travel and/or shipping expenses are covered under our contract.

Parts with an individual list price of $50.00 or less will be replaced when necessary at no charge. Parts over $50.00 will be billed separately. Consumables are not covered under the contract. All parts installed under the terms of the contract are warranted for 90 days or the manufacturer's warranty, whichever is greater.

Emergency service can be provided with our contract. As a customer, you will decide the number of emergency repairs you would like included. If you renew your contract and have not used any or all of your emergency service calls, they will carry over into the next year's contract at no additional cost to you.

Contracts are billed at the beginning of the contract period. The cost of our service contract is figured to save you at least 10%. Once accepted, the cost of your calibration/emergency service is "locked in" at the current rates. Any price increases will not affect the cost of your contract.
